Morristown, New Jersey

We spent the majority of our time in New Jersey at our friends house relaxing. Literally, laying around the house watching tv and doing nothing.

We first met Brad and JoJo on our honeymoon in Cancun. They were staying at the same hotel as we were and we incidentally did an all-day excursion together. From there, we spent most of our dinners together and lounged around the resort together. They have 2 adorable and rambungsish kids, Alex and Jack. Alex is a 7 year old 2nd grader and loves to play soccer. Jack is a 5 year old about to start kindergarten and is very protective of his older brother. They are both very affectionate and are always ready for some cuddle or snuggle time.

How cute!

Their house is gorgeous and I was ready to move in upon seeing it. It was conveniently located at the top of a miniature hill which provided a city on a hill type feeling. Only was a problem when the basketball rolled down the hill and into the street.

Brad and I spent half of our morning one day trying to get a rope for a swing over a tree branch in his backyard. Even once we got it up there we had to spend additional time to take a knot out of the rope. It was quite an endeavor.

One night we went with our friends to a dinner party to celebrate the Jewish holiday Ramadan. It was an amazingly big house and very beautiful! We met a lot of people and had a very nice dinner.

Here we are in the kitchen!

Brad is an excellent photographer and took some pictures for us.

Brad and the family drove us to Newark Penn Station to catch our bus early on Saturday morning. According to Brad it “isn’t the best part of town,” and we knew that already from when we picked up our bus tickets. It sure was interesting the people and conversations we heard at the station. But finally, almost 30 minutes late, we got on our bus and were on our way.
