Avila

Avila was another city with an impressive Roman structure still in good condition. The original wall of an ancient city was maintained in Avila.

Though I would love to know, with all these ancient structures, how they looked before they remodeled the broken parts it really was quite cool to see a glimpse of the ancient world. I mean it was such a different world then. That wall was built for protection against other foreign enemies, and in reality, the unknown. This people did not have the instant travel, the instant communication over internet and instant news to tell them exactly what is going on in the other side of the world let alone the city just a 50 miles away.

Cool lion!
