Back in the city of Barcelona. We are planning on being in this city for 3 different trips. The first we stayed very close to Las Ramblas. This time we stayed close to Parc Guell. And the last time we will stay near the Plaza Espana.
Our unit was on the back side of the mountain/hill that Parc Guell is on and let me tell ya, it is such a nasty hike up this mountain that they have installed escalators up the side of it.

So part of the way the tourists and locals ride up escalators to save their legs and feet. And when we walked this the first time with our backpacks on, ouch..
We arrived at perfect timing because the lady we were renting from arrived at the exact same time. Annie, originally from the UK, has been living in Spain for 10 years, 8 in Barcelona and 2 in Madrid. She was an interesting character to say the least. For instance, can you name this plant that was growing on her balcony?
We unpacked and just rested from a long day of traveling.
